About Sandshrew Sandshrew is a Ground-type Pokémon known as the Mouse Pokémon. It is characterized by its tough, sand-colored skin and sharp claws that allow it to burrow underground. Sandshrew is well-adapted to arid environments and can roll into a ball for defense. Evolution Sandshrew evolves into Sandslash starting at level 22. Sandslash is the second stage of its evolution and retains the Ground-typing. There is no further evolution beyond Sandslash.
